Mary G. Smith

"Time Out"
Mary lives in Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada with her husband, four children and two dogs. All of them have been lovingly depicted in some of her paintings at one point or another - willing and devoted victims of her brush strokes. Children and dogs are a fascination of hers in the everyday quirks, mishaps, and yes, even naughtiness. She loves depicting all of these on her canvases.
Mary is an entirely self-taught artist who started painting with acrylics only as a hobby when her fourth child started school. To her delight, she found that people enjoyed them so much she decided to sell them publicly. Her works are now sold extensively throughout Canada and the United States.

Douglas's travels throughout North America and Europe after his education had a strong influence on the subject matter and media he now uses in his paintings. He enjoys painting and feels comfortable in all media. His subjects include landscapes, nostalgia (especially hockey), still life, children and everyday activities.
